The gemstone representing the
planet Ketu as per Indian
astrological and gemological
texts is known as Cat’s Eye,
Lehsunia, or Vaiduria. As per
sacred texts two colour variants
are to strengthen or pacify the
planet Ketu.
Dhoom Khet: The
Dhoom Khet – Cat’s Eye is Milky
and Smokey gray in colour.
Kanak Khet: The
Kanak Khet – Cat’s Eye is
greenish golden or having a
yellow hue.
It is an opaque gem, which is
hot in constitution. Ketu is the
south node of the moon
represented by the lower half of
the snake. The planet Ketu has
got karmic influences and it is
generally accepted that during
the periods when Ketu is
operating individuals would get
results as per their Karma –
good or bad in the previous
birth.
In many cases Ketu dasha gives
sudden or extreme results. Ketu
is similar to Mars. Ketu is the
planet, which indicates
spiritual desires and
tendencies. A well-posited Ketu
in its planetary period provides
spiritual enlightenment and
feeling of detachment from
worldly desires. This planet is
also a Significator of success
in occult sciences, intuition,
success in occult sciences,
intuition and moksha or ultimate
salvation or freedom from the
cycle of birth and death.
It is also a Significator of
spirits or ghosts, recurring bad
dreams, frequent travel, major
doshas such as Kalsarpa dosha,
Sarpa dosha are also caused by
this planet. An inauspiciously
posited Ketu Indicates sudden
and wasteful travel, harm due to
wrong occult practices and
sudden closure of businesses.
Just like the Blue Sapphire,
which is the gemstone of Saturn,
the Cat’s Eye gemstone is a very strong
gemstone indicating sudden
results. One should always go
through a trial period of 3 days
to ascertain whether this
gemstone is suiting one or not.
Sacred texts suggest that it is
a gemstone, which brings back Nasht Lakshmi (wealth that has
been suddenly lost).
It is the favorite gem of those
individuals who are involved in
games of chance, speculative
activities, gambling of any
kind, Horse racing and also the
favorite gem of people involved
in dangerous and adventurous
professions. Cat’s Eye gemstone is not
worn generally throughout life;
